Rock and Roll Gardener in Art Show
This weekend, I was in an art show in Madison, Wisconsin. I displayed my rockin' plant photography, along with a few other friends who had photos, paintings, and other mixed media masterpieces. It was a great time, and we received good comments and feedback on our work.
Neza .. nice pictures ! .. I am always fascinated by water droplet pictures .. I try to catch tme on rough textured plants .. Thanks for letting me know about the pictures you took : ) Joy
great photos! i especially like the one in the center of the trees, which reminds me of several paintings. The trees look like people. Is your technique digital or other? Very nice.
These are my original digital photos, which have been enhanced using a computer- but I don't add anything into the images, other than changing the color or contrast.
I like your photos - very nice. Very cool that you were part of this show - nice to have others appreciate your work. I hope it won't be too long before you can take photos of things in the gardens again!
Gardening doesn't have to be about wearing bonnets, drinking tea, listening to classical music and serving dainty finger sandwiches while you discuss the finer points of an "English Cottage Garden". (No offense if that's what you like)...And nothing against the English...I have friends who speak English.
what people are saying about 'the rock and roll gardener' :
"I like how you have fused your two interests. Now I won't feel guilty anymore when I go in the garden and put on a Clapton or G n' R on the ipod".
"That has got to be the coolest Blotanical post I've ever read...and yes, I'm ready to party! "
"oooh...the dominatrix R'nR gardener...what are you wearing and is it edible"?
"I've said it before, I'm saying it again: You and your blog ROCK"
"Love the blog -Absolute genius! and good to see the 'Hothouse Flowers' are still getting a mention".
"Sheesh, that's awesome..."
(From Japan) "This BROG is nice".
"Maybe some day when i grow up, my blog will be as kick-ass as yours"!
"Really interesting post".
"I love your pictures, good blog! Get rid of the music"
"Rock on! Thanks for your help with identifying that mystery plant".
"The pictures are great...awesome shots".
"Neza ... you are truly WICKED girl ! "
"Cool "Halloween like" tree on right hand side bar" !!!!
If trees could scream, would we be so cavalier about cutting them down? We might, if they screamed all the time, for no good reason. - Jack Handey
Rock and Roll Lifestyle
"One day you'll walk into the tattoo shop of life and say: I'm back. ..I'm ready for my new tattoo, and her name is rock~n~roll...Now it's time to make it permanent. You will have been through all the temporary 15 minutes of flash. You will come to realize that you've been being served fast food music and disposable heroes for too long....You know what the man behind the counter will say? _We knew you'd come back."---Motley Crue

Dude Weather Rocks !
Even if you don't live in the Twin Cities, you gotta check out Dude Weather! My favorite basement studio, chain-smoking weatherman.
You are warm, unique, and pretty dominant.
It's also pretty likely that you smoke or like fire.
You are energetic and intense. You definitely stimulate people.

Very nice! Been getting back into photography myself, lately, especially digital and messing with PS/editing. Good fun, isn't it?
